We are looking for a Structural engineer with analytical skills, ambition, motivation to grow with and within the company. Somebody who is challenged by identifying the added value of a solution instead of answering the question.

As Structural engineer you will work in a team of motivated colleagues, such as other Structural engineers, Design engineers and CAD engineers, on bespoke handling and lifting solutions for a wide variety of applications used in WTG installation, heavy lifting, and cleanrooms, to name a few.

What will you be doing

In this role, you will have the following tasks:

Conceptual phase:

          • Perform fundamental, concept level structural/mechanical calculations

Basic Design phase:

          • Develop calculation models for FEA
          • Structural calculations including stress, deflection, buckling, stability, natural frequency and fatigue
          • Design verification for code compliance
          • Manual calculations according recognized standards

Comply structural calculation reports documentation;
Actively investigate and promote process improvements within the organization.

          • We offer a starting salary of €3.300,- to €4.200,- gross per month, based on 40 hours worked per week. On top of this comes 8% vacation allowance.
          • With this position comes 200 vacation hours, again based on 40 hours worked per week.

What do we expect from you

Education and experience

          • You possess a bachelor or masters degree in the direction of mechanical engineering (pre), aerospace engineering, offshore engineering, naval engineering or civil engineering
          • You have up to 5 years of experience in a similar position.

Expertise and skills

            • Experience with computational software such as MathCAD, RFEM, SCIA, Ansys, Femap
            • Excellent analytical skills
            • Good insight in degrees of freedom on mechanical systems and strength / stiffness issues;
            • You exhibit strong team player skills and know how to motivate and direct a team
          • You communicate well in English, both spoken and written.
