We are looking for a Sales Engineer with negotiating skills, ambition, motivation to grow with and within the company. Somebody who is challenged by identifying the added value of a solution instead of answering the question.

As Sales Engineer you will work with a team of motivated colleagues, such as Design engineers and Structural engineers, on bespoke handling and lifting solutions for a wide variety of applications used in WTG installation, heavy lifting, and cleanrooms, to name a few.

What will you be doing

In this role, you will have the following tasks:

Sales:

• • • • • Discuss inquiries and identify the purpose and added value of the solution
        • Develop a quotation with budget and planning
        • Contract negotiations

Procurement:

• • • • • Issue tender for subcontracting
        • Negotiate scope of work and delivery conditions

Conceptual phase:

• • • • • Develop preliminary concept designs together with the lead engineer
        • Present concept ideas to client and stakeholders

Business development:

• • • • • Identify and follow up on new opportunities and clients
        • Establish working relations with (new) clients and subcontractors

Actively investigate and promote process improvements within the organization.

        • We offer a starting salary of €4.400,- to €4.800,- gross per month, based on 40 hours worked per week. On top of this comes 8% vacation allowance.
        • With this position comes 200 vacation hours, again based on 40 hours worked per week.

What do we expect from you

Education and experience

• • • • • You possess a bachelor or masters degree in the direction of mechanical engineering (pre) or civil engineering
        • You have, preferably, 3-7 years of experience in a similar position.

Expertise and skills

• • • • • • Analytical thinking and creative problem solving skills
          • Good communication skills enabling you to build credibility, trust and commitment
          • Technical knowledge about mission equipment / maritime industry
          • You are inventive and creative in finding solutions to both technical and fabrication challenges
          • Experience with 3D (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD)
        • You communicate well in English, both spoken and written.
